Background

Mike Sandler, the Managing Director of Full Value Financial Services (Pty) LTD, has been involved in the Training and Consulting Industry since 1995. He founded Mike Sandler and Associates, a financial training and consulting company which, in association w ith KPMG, offered a limited number of South Africa specific courses in and around South Africa. In 2002 the company evolved into what is now known as Full Value Financial Services (Pty) LTD:A dynamic, hands-on financial training and consulting company which strives for excellence by adding VALUE, with an approach which is holistic and client specific. Mike has extensive practical experience in financial markets, having held senior managerial positions within commercial and investment banks as well as within specialized trading houses.

Courses:

We focus on providing generic and customised workshops for financial institutions and the banking industry. These courses could range from Treasury Management to Corporate Governance. There is no general delegate profile - accountants, auditors, lawyers, dealers, risk managers, human resource personnel, clerks, treasurers, corporate bankers etc. do attend the workshops. Generally, the delegates have a tertiary qualification, but this is not a prerequisite. Some workshops cater for new entrants into the job market, whereas other workshops are aimed at seasoned practitioners.

Mike Sandler (B. Com; H Dip Ed):

Managing Director and Trainer / Consultant
Head: Training Division (Workshops)

Mike Sandler is an experienced financial markets practitioner and trainer. He started his treasury career in 1985 and has worked in both large and small banks, having traded in the money-bonds, derivatives and forex markets. He operated as chief dealer in the Money and Capital Markets at Nedbank for 4 years and later moved across to Gensec where he served in various roles from heading the Money Market Desk to Portfolio Manager for the Sanlam Annuity Portfolio (Value +/- R 10 bn). He is also involved in consulting to treasuries; clients include The Johannesburg Securities Exchange, Investment Solutions, STT software developers as well as Hollard Insurance. Financial Markets Training has been Mike's passion since 1995 and he has presented a variety of financial courses both in South Africa and Africa, obtaining excellent results.

 

Ina Du Preez:

(B.Com Industrial Psychology; PGTD, Certified Consciousness Coach® (CCC®) ) Director and Trainer/Consultant
Head : Distance Learning Division

Ina has been in the training industry for over 30 years. She taught various Commercial Subjects at secondary and tertiary level. During this time she also became involved in retailing as a franchisee of a fast food outlet. Her earlier experience includes working as an estate agent, insurance broker and recruitment consultant. Prior to joining Full Value Ina worked as a free lance trainer/facilitator for service providers within the Banking Sector.  She is currently responsible for client liaison as well as driving the qualification National Certificate: Financial Markets and Instruments (NQF 6), presented as distance learning program over a period of one year. Ina has also recently qualified as a professional consciousness coach – this service is now included under the Full Value Financial Services training spectrum.

Dushane Skakung:

Dushane has been with Full Value since 2006 and has matured and grown with the company.  She is firstly PA to Mike, also responsible for customer enquiries, general office administration, capturing learner information on the Learner Management Systems, managing ACI-exam bookings and many more.

 

 

 

 

Isaac Phiri:

Ike has been working as marketing consultant for Full Value since 2015.  He is responsible for marketing all workshop based courses to existing and new clients.  Ike is also involved in course administration and office based IT-support.

 

 

 

 

Contracted Facilitators:

Edwin Hite – has 30 years extensive experience in  financial markets. He has been and still is actively involved in bank proprietary trading and active fund management. Edwin is known for his expertise in hedge fund and absolute return fund management, as well for his skill as market strategist and analyst. He is also passionate about training on financial markets and related fields. 

 

 

 

Gregory Thomas –has close to 30 years of Investment banking and financial market experience. His extensive knowledge of banking, treasury and finance products extends across all the asset classes, as well as derivative trading, structured products and hedge funds. Given his passion for education, Greg has spent the last 5 years consulting as well as facilitating various National Certificate and ACI Financial Markets Association workshops.
